How to Verify Longi Solar Panels Online in Pakistan
LONGi keeps a record of every module it has built, and every module carries a barcode that can be looked up against it. This page shows you where that barcode is printed, tidies it up for you, and takes you to the one address that genuinely belongs to LONGi. The check is free and takes under a minute.

Worth knowing LONGi prints this barcode in more than one place on the solar panel. All these barcodes should be exactly the same.

Where the barcode is on a LONGi panel
LONGi prints the product barcode on a white label carrying the company name and address, a QR code, the barcode itself, and the number printed underneath it in plain digits. You will find this label on the front of the module near the frame, or on the back sheet. On most LONGi panels it appears in both places, and the two should match.

Read the number printed in plain digits underneath the stripes, not the QR code and not the stripes themselves. In LONGi’s own example above it reads LRR9040XXXX1008800007, where the four X characters stand in for digits LONGi has masked. A real barcode has digits in those positions.
Do not confuse it with the model number
A LONGi model number looks like LR5-72HTH-580M and describes the product: the series, the cell count, the wattage. Thousands of panels share it. The barcode is unique to your single module and is longer. If what you are holding tells you the wattage, it is the model number and the checker will not find it.
Checking it on LONGi’s website, step by step
Step 1: open the official page
LONGi’s module authenticity tool lives at longi.com. The button at the top of this page opens it in a new tab, so this page stays behind it. Before you type anything, look at the address bar and confirm it reads longi.com. Sites imitating LONGi are covered further down.

Step 2: enter the barcode
The page is deliberately simple: one field marked Please enter the product barcode, the same example label you saw above, and a red Submit button. There is no country selector, no captcha and no sign-up.
Type the number exactly as printed, including any leading zeros. If you have used the tool at the top of this page it has already stripped out spaces and dashes for you, and you can copy the cleaned version straight across.
Step 3: read what comes back
A match returns the module’s details from LONGi’s records. Nothing found returns an empty or failed result, which is not the same thing as a counterfeit. The next section explains why.
If LONGi cannot find your barcode
Work through these in order. In our experience the first explanation accounts for most failures and the last accounts for very few.
- A character was misread. LONGi barcodes mix letters and digits, which makes this the easiest brand to mistype. The usual culprits are a capital O read as a zero, a capital I read as a one, and a missing leading zero. Check it against the label character by character.
- You read the QR code region or the model number. Take the plain digits under the stripes and nothing else.
- The batch has not been loaded yet. Very recent production can lag the public database.
- The panel is not a LONGi. Reach for this last, once the three above are genuinely ruled out, and only after checking several modules rather than one.
If a barcode you have checked carefully still returns nothing, take serials from three or four panels across different pallets before you say anything to the seller. One failure is a typo. A whole pallet failing is a finding, and that is the point at which to photograph the labels and contact LONGi directly.
Websites pretending to be LONGi
There is at least one site built to look like a LONGi verification service. longiserialverify.com is not LONGi. It does not run on LONGi’s servers, and it shares hosting with sites impersonating other manufacturers, which tells you it is one operation running several.
The reason these exist is straightforward. A checker that nobody controls but the impostor can return whatever answer suits, and the answer that suits is genuine. A buyer who checks a counterfeit panel there walks away reassured, which is exactly what the seller wanted.
The rule is simple enough to carry: a real LONGi check happens on longi.com and nowhere else. Look at the address bar before you type.
What a LONGi pass does and does not prove
A match means LONGi has that barcode in its production records and the module is theirs. That is worth having, and a panel assembled in a workshop will not have one.
It does not tell you the panel is A grade, because LONGi records downgraded modules too and a genuine B grade panel passes. It does not tell you the module is undamaged, because microcracks from rough transport do not change a barcode. It does not tell you the warranty is yours, because that depends on the region and channel the panel was sold through. And it does not tell you the output matches the label, which only a flash test can settle.
Treat a pass as proof of origin. Everything else is a separate conversation with your supplier.
Common questions about LONGi verification
How long is a LONGi barcode?
LONGi does not publish a length or a prefix anywhere in its instructions, so there is no official answer. The sample barcode on LONGi’s own verification page is 21 characters, and the tool at the top of this page will tell you if yours differs from that. Treat a difference as a reason to check the label again, not as a problem: product lines vary and one sample is not a specification.
Can I scan the QR code instead?
The tool asks for the barcode typed in, not a scan. Scanning the QR code with a phone may give you the same string, in which case use it, but read it against the printed digits before you trust it.
Does LONGi have a separate portal for Pakistan?
No. Unlike some manufacturers, LONGi runs one tool at longi.com with no country selector, so there is no regional trap to fall into. A panel sold into Pakistan is checked in the same place as one sold anywhere else.
Should I check before installing?
Yes. The label sits on the front edge and the back sheet, so once a panel is mounted and wired you would have to take it down to read it. Check on delivery, while refusing the consignment is still an option.
The seller showed me an import sheet. Is that the same thing?
It is useful but it answers a different question. An import document proves somebody imported a quantity of panels. It only says anything about yours if the serial ranges printed on it cover the barcodes on the modules in front of you. Check two or three against the document, then verify those same barcodes at longi.com.
