Note: Capacity is quoted at the 10-hour rate (200 Ah); at the 20-hour rate it is 210 Ah, and at the 1-hour rate it drops sharply - size on the rate you will actually use. Maximum discharge 2000 A (5 s) and internal resistance about 3.02 mΩ, so it holds voltage well under a surge. Initial charging current should stay under 30 A. Overall height 222 mm with terminals. 60.35 kg. Sealed VRLA with what Phoenix call Nano Gel technology - maintenance-free, non-spillable, T11 bolt terminals, flame-retardant ABS. Phoenix publish no cycle life for the VR range, so the usable figure here is derived at the 50% depth VRLA is conventionally sized around rather than from a manufacturer statement - and there is no way to compare its life against a tubular battery on paper. Charge at 14.4-14.7 V for cycle use (temperature coefficient -30 mV/°C) or 13.5-13.8 V standby (-20 mV/°C). Operating range is a narrow -10°C to +40°C, tighter than most tubular batteries, and capacity swings with it: 103% at 40°C, 100% at 25°C, only 86% at 0°C. Storable for up to 6 months at 25°C before it needs a freshening charge. Phoenix batteries are made by Century Engineering Industries (Pvt) Limited in Karachi under licence from Kukje Industry Battery Co. Ltd of Korea.
