Note: Apex publish the scaling limits: up to 4 units in series and 8 in parallel, which takes a single 1.3 kWh unit to 20.8 kWh. The 8000 cycle figure is quoted with its test conditions, 80% depth of discharge at 25°C and 0.5C to 60% end of life, which is what makes it comparable. It carries a power level display screen but no communication port, so it reports its own state of charge and cannot be read by an inverter, although the case is badged Smart BMS and carries a five year warranty, neither of which appears on the datasheet.
