Slocable solar cable is made specifically for the DC side of photovoltaic systems. Its red outer covering is normally used to identify the positive cable, while the solar-rated insulation is designed to handle outdoor exposure, heat, and sunlight better than ordinary household wire. It is commonly used between solar panels, combiner boxes, isolators, and inverters.
